Variable washbasin lengths | Tailored washbasins
From October HEWI will be providing even more design freedom with a washbasin whose length is individually definable. The basic design an a fixed depth of 415 mm and a minimum width of 850 mm. The washbasin can be widened to a total length of up to 2800 mm. Asymmetric versions are possible. The new washbasin model has an oval basin and front-mounted support rails, which can also be used as towel rails. With the tailored washbasins precise fitting solutions can be implemented. The washbasins are produced with millimetre accuracy, so that the washbasins can be perfectly fitted into the sanitary room. 

The washbasin is made of high-quality mineral composite and has a convincingly aesthetic and ergonomic design. It fulfils the highest loading capacity, wear and hygiene standards. The washbasin is also designed to be wheelchair accessible. In this way, maximum comfort and convenience are offered by accessible design. 

Aesthetics and comfort at the Washbasin and Mirrors

The washbasins are perfectly complemented by the new mirrors. The minimalist use of form enables the washbasins and mirrors to fit into the existing systems and ranges.

Material and surfaces

Both washbasins are made from white cast mineral. With their finely porous surfaces they are particularly easy-care. (alpin white)

- The 850 mm wide washbasin is 415 mm deep. To the left and right of the oval basin there are generously sized standing shelf areas. Integrated recessed handles can be used to hold onto or just as a useful towel rail. The wide washbasin is available prepared for single hole mixer taps or for mixer taps.

- The 600 mm wide washbasin is especially suitable for use in "accessible" areas. With a projection of 550 mm, it has sufficient clearance for wheelchair users. At the side of the round basin is the generously sized shelf area for bathroom accessories. The integrated recessed handles can be used to hold onto or just as a useful towel rail. The washbasin is available prepared for single hole mixer taps and without overflow.

HEWI active+

HEWI active + | sanitary products with antimicrobial effect

Especially for areas with the highest hygiene requirements, HEWI has developed products with an anti-microbial effect. The products provide effective protection against bacterial contamination. This is achieved by using microsilver, which is broadly effective against bacteria and fungi. It discharges silver ions, which inhibit the growth of bacteria and other unwanted germs, and so minimise the risk of infection for humans. 

Within 24 h, any unwanted germs on the surface of the products are continuously reduced, so that 99.9% of all germs are reduced within this period. The integrated antimicrobial protection of HEWI active+ supports hygiene effectively. The microsilver is uniformly incorporated in the polyamide during production. This firmly bonds the additive with the product and makes it insensitive to UV light and cleaning methods. Due to the porous surface of the microsilver the material used has an excellent depot effect, which following incorporation in the polyamide has a lasting, reliable effect. HEWI active+ impacts neither the environment nor the human organism. The active substance is ECO CERT certified and is suitable for use with skin care products.
